Mallee Family Care slams Family Court-Federal Court merger
MALLEE Family Care (MFC) says a decision by the Federal Parliament to merge the Family Court with the Federal Circuit Court will have a devastating impact on families and does nothing to address the underlying reasons for the failings of the family law system.
Legislation that will abolish the Family Court of Australia was passed last week and merge it with the Federal Circuit Court – a court that deals with a range of general federal law issues, including migration, human rights and employment.
